Health Economics and Econometrics

The research activities of the Chair of General Economics, Health Economics and Econometrics address incentives, efficiency and inequalities in health and health care with the goal of promoting health equity and designing equitable and efficient care for all. To this end, we work together with national and international partner institutions and researchers on regional, national and global challenges such as One Health, health and climate change, health services research, prevention and universal health coverage.

In our research, we use econometric and epidemiological methods to investigate inequalities in health and health care and to evaluatecomplex (health) policy interventions.
