Prof. Dr Wolfgang Joecks, Chair of Criminal Law, in particular Commercial and Fiscal Criminal Law and Pro-Rector of the University of Greifswald, passed away unexpectedly on 9 August 2016 at the age of 63.
With his passing, the Faculty of Law and Economics lost an outstanding academic and university lecturer, who was one of the five professors who invested immense amounts of effort into the establishment of the faculty after its reconstitution in October 1992.
A total of 52 colleagues, companions and friends have honoured his outstanding achievements in research, teaching and academic self-administration with this memorial publication.
This memorial publication, published on the 2nd anniversary of Wolfgang Joecks' death, contains numerous contributions, in particular from the fields of general criminal law, commercial criminal law and tax law.
