C.H.BECK Verlag has published a new book "Handbuch Klimaschutzrecht".
At the end of 2019, the German Government became the first government in the world to set out its national climate protection targets in a binding climate protection law. The law entered into force on 18 December 2019. The 15 paragraphs of the Federal Climate Change Act aim to ensure the fulfilment of national climate protection targets and compliance with European targets in order to protect against the effects of global climate change.
This book provides a comprehensive overview of this newly established area of climate protection law and is designed as a handbook for higher education and practice.
The book was edited by Prof. Dr. Michael Rodi [de].
Michael Rodi held the Chair of Public Law: Financial Law, Environmental and Energy Law (1999-2021) and is founder, Director and Scientific Director of the affiliated Institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility (IKEM [de]).
